Prayers for Pastor Becker and Linda

The COVID-19 virus is affecting many others around the world besides us! We pray for our missionaries and pastors around the world, that they would be safe and be able to find ways to be the Light of the World in whatever situation they find themselves.

Our prayers most definitely should also be with Pastor Becker and his wife Linda as they have found themselves "hunkered down" in Tanzania, Africa.

We just had a meeting with those who run our camp, the residents ( including a few just now talking refuge here) and the neighbors. We are going into lockdown because of the virus potential. Gates are being closed on the road and the river at unprecedented flood stage is on the back side. We will be a cross between Anne Frank’s attic and Guilligan’s Island. We have nurses and medical supplies here as well as our own power. Swahili teachers will no longer come, so we will do what we can online and on our own, and most staff is being laid off while others move on site. The few who have to go out for supplies and such will shower and change clothes when they return. We are also keeping a “social distance” from each other for a few weeks. We continue to believe we are in the safest place we can be while we are aware God has put us here at this time for a reason.

Meanwhile the Tanzanian government has just said that all commercial flights are ending, so don’t think that you can get in on this.
