Fun news about our member Trevor Kontak!
Trevor is about 3 weeks or so into his canoe trip down the whole length of the Mississippi River with his friend Pete! Here is a recent report from him and some pictures:
Pete and I are still on the water here in Minnesota. I believe we’re about 20 miles from Winona. The winds have been pretty strong today, although we have been able to manage. Last nights sunset was a gorgeous one and from our camp on the island we could see the entire horizon. Today around noon Parker, a wrestling buddy from college, met us near the shore and made for a really nice time catching up. Pete and I are nearing the 600 mile mark and we are both feeling healthy and still motivated. We’ll see what challenges come up further south, but I would say for now things are good.
Hope for good stuff your way. I do miss everything and everybody at church and Mankato. Although everything is good and well. My number one goal and task at hand is this river paddle adventure. Anyways hope all is good and well and tell people I said hey 🛶🙂
OUR SAFE "MINI" VBS's are coming up over the next couple weeks! We could still use help! Please call pastor or Carol Honeman for further information! We need ministry team members to put on the vbs, but we also need HOSTS to host the VBS in your yard or neighborhood park! ONE, 2 hour program on Creation!
